Want to add a challenge to your Pilates practise?

Then why not give Pilates on the Ball a try!

The gym ball is a great piece of versatile equipment which uses the instability of the ball to work the deep stabilising muscles, by challenging the body’s balance and control. It is also a great prop to aid alignment and challenge joint mobility and stability.

We use the ball in many different positions – you will be surprised how many!

Challenge your upper body by doing a range of exercises lying in prone on top of the Ball; work on your alignment in Relaxation Position with the feet on the Ball; challenge your core with some Curl Up variations lying over the Ball … the list is many and varied. One thing is for sure, you will certainly feel the core working that little bit harder using the instability of the Ball in your Pilates practise!
